Lloyd has been one of the leading figures in the conveyancing industry for the last 20 years and continues to be involved at the highest level.

As well as influencing national conveyancing policy through his lobbying work, he also established the not-for-profit Conveyancing Foundation which has raised over a million pounds for charity and he is an ardent charity fundraiser for many causes including mental health.

Laura Burkinshaw

Head of Legal Practice

Laura is a Solicitor and Licensed Conveyancer and is currently the Deputy Chair of the Society of Licensed Conveyancers.

Laura brings with her a formidable skill set in terms of client service, practice and management as well being a specialist in conveyancing IT software architecture and design.

Jess Smith

Operations Director

Jess Smith is a key figure at Convey Law and Convey365, where she serves as Operations Director, responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of both companies. She is also on the Board of Directors at Convey Law.

She has a wealth of experience in the operations and project management sectors, having worked in them for over a decade.

Phill Edwards

Legal Director

Phill started as a Paralegal at Convey in 2003 and progressed to Conveyancer, Supervisor and then Legal Director. Phill has achieved many awards including Team and Employee of the Year and is a fantastic role model for his work ethic and professionalism.

Day to day Phill oversees all Legal Director responsibilities whilst working closely with Conveyancers and Supervisors.

Janine Wellington

Legal Director

Janine is an experienced property lawyer, having previously headed commercial and residential property departments at three legal businesses.

A former Modern Law Conveyancer of the Year, Janine leads our Transactional Conveyancing Teams and works closely with all our Conveyancers and Supervisors to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.

Abby Bater

Group Finance Director

Abby joined Convey Law in 2022 at a time of rapid expansion to oversee all finances for the Convey Group. She has a wealth of experience in finance forecasting, budgeting and business planning gained in the business world over several decades.

Abby is responsible for overseeing strategic financial planning for Convey including ensuring the financial systems and structures are in place for major projects.

Gareth Evans

Finance Director

Gareth has nearly 30 years’ experience in finance and has worked for Convey Law since 2002.

He was appointed to its Board of Directors in 2015 to represent his department at the most senior level of the company.

Joseph Norris

IT Director

Joe is Group IT Director of Convey Law and Director of the Convey Group’s specialist IT company Convey365IT.

He has well over a decade’s experience in IT project management and software development and has worked for a number of prestigious blue-chip companies as well as working as a sole contractor.

Siobhan Connolly

Group Training Director

With two decades of experience in the sector and as a Licensed Conveyancer, Siobhan has a deep understanding of the conveyancing industry.

Siobhan is focused on developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional service to clients and developing their own careers.
